The solution is not to have “life-work balance” but rather to live in a way that is both meaningful and productive as much of the time as you can. Take pleasure in offering what is expected of you and what you have committed to. Our present society knows little of stepping up to life with the attitude and perspective of a mature adult. Maturity calls for more than going through the motions, which is, sadly, what most people do most of the time. When you find yourself doing that, pause, call yourself to the present and connect with your purpose. If you don’t think you know what that is, stop and ask inwardly — you will get a response.
