Thank you to our Somewhere In Between annual reading subscribers + team
The 26th Planet Waves annual has been one the most successful in our history. Thank you to all who have participated.
Dear Friend and Reader:
I want to thank the customers who purchased Somewhere In Between, the 2024 annual reading from Planet Waves. It’s been one our most successful editions in many years, and I think worth every bit of the effort and thought invested in it.
This link contains both customer reviews and ordering options. Please look!
I’ve now done these readings 26 times from many countries, working thorugh the holidays everyone of those years. (Here was the humble beginning in 1999, written in Nowhere Zen New Jersey, to wit, Ho-Ho-Kus).
My annuals in their current form are very unusual (utterly unique) astrology readings — a combination of 6,000 words of text (basically, a mini-book, by contemporary standards) and a 75-minute video reading, both totally distinct. There is nothing like it that I know of in contemporary astrology. But what makes them special is that they are understandable.
To pull this off, I rely on several different skill sets as astrologer, teacher and presenter, there is one essential element: Do No Harm. For the “make it clear” part, that comes from journalism — lots and lots of writing articles about difficult topics made accessible.
Rolling the Credits
This project would have been impossible without your support and investment, and without my team. Kudos to Elijah Tuttle, who has succeeded in getting the Planet Waves site working after our breach-birth in late 2020 and several years of technological chaos.
Thanks to Eli actually understanding what he does, we were able to offer many options for how to access the work (one, two and 12-sign blends, for example). Eli also pulled together all of the video editing and publishing, and the social media campaign.
And thanks to my editorial team, we were able to process the text of a 70,000 word book in about three weeks. Copy was coordinated and corrected by Alison Ogden, whom I met at a kind of swap-meet market held in someone’s home in 2021; she was supported by Jessica Keet, who has reviewed and corrected my horoscopes before you see them for 19 years; and both were assisted by Iva Veazey.
‘Somewhere’ is astrology for people who don’t understand the theory — which also works for those who do.
The challenge writing astrology is relating the ideas for people who don’t know a stitch of it, and who may only have nominal interest. Therefore, good astrology is about the reader, and is designed only to support their mission in life.
I am a specialist in seeing talents and opportunities. My work is both intuitive and technically grounded: that is the point of synergy, where the whole exceeds the sum of the parts. If you’re curious how I do this, check the presentation at the very bottom of this page or email.
My astrology is informed by my understand something of the pain and psychic chaos many people are feeling, and the sense of being lost many are experiencing. I do not offer hope. I offer perspective, and a broad view of existence. I offer you a sense of purpose — one of the things most lacking in the stressed-out times we are enduring.
My goal is to manifest for you not as an expert but rather as a friend with something potentially helpful to offer.
The work that I do has an underling set of spiritual principles, informed and guided by A Course in Miracles, my Quaker faith, and my longtime study of Gestalt therapy. This year’s reading owes many ideas to what I’ve learned from the McLuhan family, and what I did with their teaching. What I call “digital conditions” is the core spiritual crisis of our times, and I’ve done my best to speak to it cogently.
I’ve learned a lot of astrology from my teachers and from reading, but more than anything, from readers and my clients.
Thank you for your business and your trust.
With love,

Eric, thank you, I am smiling.
