What is a centaur planet?
A special video presentation about Chiron, Pholus, Nessus and Hidalgo, with some thoughts about Pluto.
Good afternoon from New York.
In a comment on last week’s video about the family patterns, someone said “Aah! Finally a coherent definition of a centaur.”
In a way that I love to do, I ran with their idea, and on Sunday recorded this video developing the concept of a centaur. The first was said to be Chiron (discovered 1977) but then an earlier discover, Hidalgo (1920) was recategorized as a centaur some time later (I cannot tell when).
This video is not for everyone, though I’ve tried to keep it fun, easy to follow and informative; as usual, I provide the ever-so-rare thing known as historical context.
With YouTube,, we are playing the algorithm game. Therefore, please upvote (like) the video (assuming you like it or at least support my video habit) and subscribe to the channel. We are creeping up toward 5,000 subscribers and are cleared for monetization after receiving MANY strikes from YouTube for being naughty naughty little science journalists during the 2020 crisis.
But I don’t want commercials in these videos!
About 4-5 pm New York time is when most people watch, so I’m dropping the video here and now…
Thank you…
With love,
Your faithful astrologer,
