Yes covid has subsided but not gone away by any means. It is a wonderful thought but not accurate. The virus will do what viruses do best --- mutate. Case in point my writer just contracted it as well as a number of other folks I know. Be vigilant especially with the amount of particulate matter in our air from the Canadian wild fires.
I am out of medicine. While there many things I can not explain in your world, however Bacteria and viruses are a real and some will kill you. Even in this country TB has been on the rise along with polio. Again this science a pesky seven letter word that some refuse to embrace.
Believe what you must, however science is still science and yes it has gone into hibernation. Please remember Polio is still with us as well is Bird Flu. Viruses just do not just disappear, they evolve. Whether they show the face again in our lifetime or at some point in the future, they will show up again.

Lastly both Bird Flu and Polio have been isolated. You might want to take a moment to do a little reading and keep a open mind and google images of what an Iron Lung looks like. We're done
John if I just lost your respect, I can’t believe you ever had it in the first place. However you are welcome to provide me with your isolation studies for the polio virus and any influenza virus if you want. We will read the studies carefully and give you feedback.

I am way old enough to remember polio. The effect of DDT spraying, which was implemented to replace the use of other chemicals used as pesticides which caused nerve damage.
Over my 75 years there is one thing that I have learned ---never argue with fools. Lets assume you are correct, then why is polio on the rise in countries around the world, secondly if polio's virus wasn't identified please explain how a vaccine was created. Bird flu is H5N1. Lastly over one million died due to CV19, just wondering how you explain that or are you going to tell me they died from? There are many unknowns in medicine, the ethical scientist will say that openly state. Your combative nature in your replies says something in itself. I hope you were a better Math instructor then your replies are.
Me: trained as a mechanical engineer. Worked for over 36 years as a math and stats instructor at UC Berkeley, including bio-statistics. I believed in Virology till i started having questions about three years ago, then after a year started definitely doubting it, and by late 2021 discarded it. Likewise contagion theory, which itself has never been proven, repeated attempts to prove it have failed. Both "polio" and "avian flu" notions have been shredded to fine pieces, polio was a cover up for the poisoning created by DDT and other chemicals.

I live in a building for aging performing artists run by a charity. The entity used to be artists-run but in the last three years there’s been a slow moving coup which has corrupted the democratic ideals. Separation and isolation has done its work. Fear is reinforced daily with a large box of ‘tests’ feature prominently at the front door. Folks ‘get it’ here. But they don’t get colds or the old fashioned flu. Many wear the useless mask. Disengagement, dis-association and the withering of collegial living continues to erode in this 203 unit building. One small building mimicking the world today? Maybe- in the end - it’s all about real estate?
