Talk about synchronicity. You just sent this eight minutes or so ago. I was just thinking how I wish I could move to the area you live in, and be in physical, not electronic, contact with you. The only problem is, I'm sort of stuck here in California, or so it seems, because I don't have any money to speak of. If you know of a garret I could rent somewhere in your area, for very little money, I'd do it. I can trade therapeutic bodywork for a tiny space to live in. I could help someone tend their garden, or do housework, or do editing, in exchange for a tiny space to live in. I don't expect anything to come of this comment. It's true, though.
I live in El Cerrito, California. (El Cerrito is adjacent to Berkeley.) I live in a small two-bedroom house which my father owns. (He lives in Sacramento, the city I grew up in.) I've lived in the SF east bay area ever since I left Sacramento in 1974 to attend UC Berkeley, where I majored in music. I stayed in the SF bay area after graduating, earned a living teaching classical piano lessons, then studied and practiced therapeutic bodywork for a number of years. I can't play the piano any longer because of injuries to my right hand sustained when I was almost run over by a car at 6:45 p.m. in Berkeley, CA on January 19, 2019. (I think I was supposed to have been run over, but instead of that happening, some angel or other energetic (spiritual) being pushed me out of the way of the oncoming car, causing me instead to crash violently onto the pavement about a centimeter or two away, so that instead of making a quick exit from this life, I "only" broke three bones, all in my right arm, and sustained other injuries as well, caused by criminally terrible treatment by Kaiser. Only one of the broken bones was even diagnosed as broken until after the cast was removed. The outrageously terrible way I was treated for months by Kaiser ended up being far more traumatizing to me than the experience of nearly being run over itself was. It was the maltreatment by Kaiser which left me with a crippled right hand, not the injuries themselves.) In terms of income, I live on a very modest monthly stipend from my father. I'm not officially tied to this house; I just haven't found a way to extricate myself from it to date.
