I study the episodes scene by scene, on every level, from the writing to the directing to the animation...it's truly a miracle. And primarily the work of one writer, not a writer's room...
Even though the program has been around for a while, I'm planning a radio segment on "the genius of South Park." I would love to speak with your son.
Wow.. yes indeed Trey is a marvel.. but they are VERY closed lipped to the world .. my son keeps a v low profile in that regard.... I’ll run it by Blake.. he’s been with them about 12 years now.. all I can offer to how you see the show is that it is a moment to moment process and my impression is it is in a constantly changing mode right up to the last day and that demands all the studio’s enthusiasm to make his (Trey’s)up to the moment changing visions, materialize inside their strict deadlines!
yes they can work four times faster than The Simpsons and do a episode in a week. That is what allows them to move right behind the news — and be relevant and timely. It's impressive. Animation has many, many steps...the lip syncing alone must take half the time, though I am sure they now have some help from AI.
I know I have to you on multiple occasions “I wish you would stick to astrology” but then there wouldn’t be that information and that other viewpoint out there to clog the toilet.
My taking up a horoscope in 1995 did not represent relinquishing my dharma as a journalist. Are you familiar in any way with my early career, and also the work I've done throughout my astrology career — often published in Planet Waves — on scientific fraud, fraud by land trusts, and other issues?
When I was the Daily News astrologer, I served on an investigative team (gang execution squad) and wrote for the editorial page. I'm sure I was the first horoscope writer for The News or any other newspaper to do so. We might count that as an extraordinary gift. I have learned to.
I've never stopped being a reporter, and the whole theory of Planet Waves is an integrated and holistic approach to life. There is no astrology to stick to. Astrology is ONE platform for analysis, and if you saw the obscene amount of work that even goes into reporting an astrology article, you might be amazed.
I just heard that Gene Wilder was told by a doctor, when he was a boy, that he needed to make his mother laugh. She had developed a heart problem, and, apparently, the doc thought laughter would help. (Paraphrasing this story here; don't quote me.) This post made me laugh, a lot, so thanks for the heart help.
I am sorry to report, but after following Planet Waves for a decade, I've yet to be offended!
