Work In Progress: Astrology Learning Project

We're building a volunteer team to help with an astrology learning project. This email includes a basic description, and an invitation to get involved. We are seeking careful readers of my work.

We’re building an astrology learning project and are seeking volunteers who are careful readers, and who value my approach to astrology.

Dear Friend and Reader:

We are building a branch of Planet Waves devoted to teaching astrology. It will include existing classes, new classes, supervised study, research/writing and the art of consulting. I’ll reveal the name of the school in a few weeks.

The program will be designed for those who are curious, spiritual seekers or self-study students, serious students of astrology and tarot, and those who have professional aspirations.

We are equally devoted to teaching as we are to weaving actual community, both online and locally in the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York State, and in New York City. Planet Waves has an actual office and library in Kingston, NY and we want to do as much as possible in person.

Everyone with sincere interest is welcome, wherever you may be.

Today, I am putting the word out to the first round of potential volunteers to get in at the ground floor of the school. If you are excited about this idea and want to see it be brilliantly successful, I am writing to you.

Step One: Identifying Articles for Teaching

We are looking for people who can go through my past articles and identify the best of them applicable to teaching purposes.

We need people who are easy to work with; who are self-starters (i.e., show up ready); and who complete the tasks they begin. It’s also essential that we work with people who value the specific kinds of unique contributions I’ve made to astrology.

The first assignment will be to search for and identify articles on specific topics that will be folded into the curriculum. Example topics would include the progressed horoscope, specific minor planets starting with Chiron, articles about the Moon, and so on. We will work out a specific assignment with each person.

If You Think This is For You

Before you respond in the affirmative, pause and reflect. You will be doing lots of searching, digging through Planet Waves websites, reading carefully, evaluating the content, and potentially other general editorial tasks.

This will take time, focus and devotion. It cannot be done on a phone.
