A few observations on the solar return chart — with chart ruler (Sun) and Venus in the 12th house, there’s a lot in collective shadow…. Denial of the state of the economy, as well as denial of the ongoing trauma we’re all dealing with. In the first house (Leo the showman) with Mercury and the Moon, there’s a trend of putting on performances of how happy we all are (especially on social media/12th house Jupiter)… though the suicide and mental health stats sadly tell a different story.

Chiron on the MC is representative of how we look on the world stage... vulnerabilities exposed.

The MC has flipped from the natal chart, from Libra to Aries. Perhaps how America is seen by the world has shifted from being interested in harmony and fairness, to being concerned more with self preservation. Now Black Moon Lilith sits exactly on the natal MC… speaking perhaps of shadows being exposed? Or some sort of rebellion on the horizon?

Just some initial thoughts… Thanks for holding space for such a discussion.

A question though: precessing the SR chart pretty much implies that the chart's relationship to the stars is primary to its relationship to the Sun. Do you think so?

The measuring point is the Sidereal Venal Point -- the first degree of the zodiac. That's the needle on the meter. The position of that theoretical point, 1 Aries, the Aries Point, is where the precession is measured. Currently that point is aligned with the constellation Pisces, so we are in the "Age of Pisces." The Aries Point precesses "retrograde" by longitude, so it's heading back into Aquarius. But it does not reach the first star in Aquarius for hundreds of years, and does not clear the last star in Pisceus for hundreds more.

There is a lot in these charts! I'm really interested in the switch in phasal relationship between Sun and Venus here....natal Venus is just past heliacal setting and in the SR chart, just a couple of days before heliacal rise. This SR Venus is opposite natal Pluto. This and these factors: the SR ASC conjunct the natal North Node (triggering the natal SN/Nessus), the the SR mutual reception of Sun and Moon from the 12H to 1H and with Mercury/Vesta on the SR ASC, opposite Pluto, with almost all of this in the BC 8H in what I think is an 8H profected year; this looks like, to borrow your term, a "thresholder" moment. Does the U.S. project have an opportunity to cross the plutonic portal into some other kind of existence? SR Jupiter conjunct the war-prone BC Uranus -- actually all of the Taurus events this year and Jupiter's ingress into Gemini are all in the U.S. natal 6H -- of healing and the common people.

With Moon ruling the 8H profected year and a beautiful SR Leonine 1H Moon opposing the natal Aquarian Moon, it looks like the "thresholder" moment is for the people of the U.S. Are we as a collective waking up to our terrible state? Is this the year for the living, beating heart of the people to elevate and guide this project into a different way of being? That is my hope and my prayer, and therefore, what I see in the chart.

Lots of semi-sextile action in the SR, I'm interested in SR Mars applying to Uranus semi-sextile with natal Mars. I'm also interested in SR Saturn/Nessus (8H) in the natal 4H. Neptune trine this very interesting Venus....I would call this chart: "The year of cross the portal or dissolve into chaos....".
